DAY 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - FES

Meet your private driver in Casablanca at your hotel, riad, airport or another agreed location and begin the journey toward Fes. Approximate driving time is around 4½–5½ hours, excluding sightseeing, meals and comfort stops. Depending on your starting time, the first stop can be Rabat, Morocco’s capital. Visit some of the city’s principal landmarks before continuing east toward Meknes. The route then passes close to Volubilis, where you can visit the archaeological remains of the Roman city before continuing to Fes.

Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon or evening and check into your accommodation.

DAY 2: FES

Spend the day discovering Fes, one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. This is mainly a sightseeing day, with only short local transfers between the medina, viewpoints and other planned stops. The old medina of Fes el-Bali contains a dense network of streets, traditional workshops, markets, religious buildings and historic architecture.

DAY 3: FES - MIDELT - ERFOUD - RISSANI - MERZOUGA

Leave Fes and travel south toward the Sahara. Approximate driving time is around 7–8 hours, excluding sightseeing, lunch and rest stops. This is one of the longest driving days of the tour. The landscape changes considerably during the day as the route crosses the Middle Atlas and continues toward southeastern Morocco.

Possible stops include Ifrane, cedar-forest areas near Azrou and viewpoints along the road toward Midelt. Continue through the Ziz Valley, known for its palm-filled oasis landscapes, before passing Erfoud and heading toward Merzouga.
